I absolutely love coming here for the lunch special. My uncles showed me this spot and I had no idea how close it was to where I live. The special includes an entree with rice, a spring roll & hot Ns sour soup. The portions are super filling! I would recommend choosing the sweet and sour chicken or the mongolian beef for your entree. The service here is also fast and friendly. Such a hidden gem. Don't pass this spot up!

Just got back from enjoying another excellent lunch at Loc Chun. The Curry Chicken was delicious and had lots of fresh, tender chicken!

I wanted something to eat that I would really enjoy. Something that isn't a chain restaurant business. This can be difficult to find. Amazingly, for my final visit to the dealership, this lovely restaurant was right across the street. Great ratings, excellent photos, it didn't take me more than a minute or two to let my mother know where we would have lunch.
We both loved the food. For both of us to love it, that speaks volumes. The service was great. They had the lunch specials on President's Day (but not on major holidays). Restaurant is clean, nicely lit, comfortable. After two olden day favorites completely losing their touch, this is now my go to Chinese in the Santa Clara / San Jose area. $10.50 lunch special which includes hot & sour soup and a full sized spring roll! A lot of bang for your buck.
I expected this spot to be average but it surpassed my expectations for a sit-down Chinese restaurant. The restaurant was quiet (you don't hear the kitchen banging around utensils and dishes) and the service was polite. The food came out fairly quickly; once we were done with our hot & sour soup, the lunch specials came out. I was shocked out how large the portions were. It was very fulfilling and tasted delicious! I ordered the Mongolian beef with steamed rice. The rice was a little dry and could have been on the stickier side... but that's a minor issue.
I will definitely be back here to try more dishes and satisfy my future Chinese food cravings. -

In San Jose now for 3 weeks, and i have a go to Chinese take-out already established, which is very important. It is in a nondescript, little strip center, certainly no PF Chang, but then again, the food is better than PFC. The small place is always full of diners, but we are take out guys. and I walk out with a box full of dinner for the bunch. Orange beef, general tso chicken, mongolian chicken, kung pao, all the standards.
There usually is a cream cheese wonton surprise in there too. We will be regulars.
